   Proposal Description:
   The goal of the proposed research is to test the hypothesis that Alzheimer?s disease with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is associated with a more rapid progression compared to Alzheimer?s disease without type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.  The specific aim will be to determine the rate of progression in AD patients with T2DM and compare their overall progression to AD patients without T2DM. Data used to determine progression would involve executive function tests, cognitive exams, imaging, and other similar data to determine the status of the subject.  Variables such as age, gender, education, medications, demographic, socioeconomic status, other co-morbidities will be included in the study.
